MLB

Mike Trout is out for the season with a meniscus tear.

NFL

A federal judge overturned a $4.7 billion jury verdict against the NFL in the "Sunday Ticket" lawsuit, which had accused the league of antitrust violations by selling the package exclusively through DirecTV. This decision relieves the NFL from paying potentially over $14 billion in damages.

The Little League World Series kicked off this week and continues with regional play throughout the weekend.
