This weekend’s sports news and what to watch this week
NBA
NBA Finals: Game 1 of the NBA Finals was last night and, boy, did the Boston Celtics make a statement. They held a 20+ point lead going into half time, holding the Dallas Mavericks to 42 points in the half. Kristap Porzingis also made his return from injury with a bang and ended with 20 points. The Mavs made a comeback but it wasn’t enough as the C’s take Game 1 107-89.
Doris Burke was on the call for Game 1 as she makes history as the first woman to call a men’s championship final in the 4 major sports.
Doris Burke will make history tonight as the FIRST woman to call any major U.S. Men’s Championship on TV.
Well deserved. 🔥 (h/t @FOS)
