They lead the series 2-0 as they head back to Indianapolis on Saturday. The Dallas Mavericks win a tight one over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 1. They stay in Minnesota tonight for Game 2.

NHL Playoffs

The last game of Round 2 belongs to the Edmonton Oilers. They beat the Vancouver Canucks in Vancouver in Game 7 to win the series and advance to the conference finals.

Edmonton Oilers now face the Dallas Stars, and won the first game in double OT at the hands of Connor McDavid. They lead the series 1-0. The Florida Panthers whomped the NY Rangers 3-0 in Game 1 and have a 1-0 series lead heading into tonight’s game in New York.

NFL

Bye bye Chain Gang. The NFL is experimenting with optical tracking technology, to mark the spot of the ball, this preseason across the NFL. It will mark the spot of the ball on the field using a microchip installed inside the football, making refs calls and the people that hold the sticks and chains obsolete. The NFL plans to use for preseason to test if it will make the switch in the regular season.

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has been selected to host the NFL Draft in 2026.

Formula 1

The Monaco Grand Prix is on Sunday, from the country with more millionaires per capita than anywhere else. Monaco is the mecca for Formula 1 racing as most drivers live there anyway and it’s the shortest track, meaning things happen quick during the race.

Tennis

The French Open from Paris, France kicks off on Sunday. The red clay courts are a staple and force players to play in different ways due to the surface. It’s a Grand Slam event and a highly sought after win for the players.
