Happy Tuesday people! Short week coming in hot after the holiday. The first week without the NBA and NHL but there’s still a lot of sports to keep up on. Let’s get into it.

This week’s recap:

NBA

  • NBA commissioner, Adam Silver, finally releases its punishment for Ja Morant. Morant gets a 25-game suspension next season for brandishing a gun on Instagram live

  • Bradley Beal has been traded from the Washington Wizards to the Phoenix Suns and will join Devon Booker and Kevin Durant in hopes to contend for an NBA championship. Other superstar, Chris Paul, is part of the deal and will head to Washington.

  • Michael Jordan sells his majority ownership stake in the Charlotte Hornets for $3 billion.

MLB

  • LA Dodgers accused of cheating after the lights flicker mid-play

GOLF

  • US Open: Wyndham Clark holds off Rory McIlroy and other big names to win his first major. The name Wyndham Clark already sounds wealthy and now he is after taking home $3.6 million in winnings.

  • Interesting background on the US Open host course, Los Angeles Country Club

  • Upcoming: The Traveler’s Championship starts Thursday at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut. Last year’s winner - Xander Schauffele | Starts on Thursday @ 6:45am ET on ESPN+
