COLLEGE BASKETBALL

Kentucky coach, John Calipari, the only coach in the NCAA to have a life-time contract, is finalizing a deal to become the new head coach of Arkansas. This will trigger a $33 million payout for his current contract.

WOMEN’S FINAL RESULT

South Carolina defeats Iowa to win the National Championship and an undefeated season. Watch game highlights here

MEN’S FINAL FOUR RESULT

Purdue shuts down NC State (63-50) to advance to the finals to take on UConn who easily worked Alabama in the second half to win (86-72). Game highlights here.

MLB

Not news, but this is probably the worst strikeout you can possible take.

Lebron James’ son, Bronny James, declares for the NBA draft while keeping his college eligibility. James had an underwhelming first year at USC so it will be interesting to see if any NBA teams will take the chance.

NHL

Scary collision between Tampa Bay Lightning player and the referee, who left on a stretcher. The ref was responsive and seems to be okay.

GOLF

Akshay Bhatia wins the Valero Texas Open to punch ticket to Masters. Survives a birdie streak from second place finisher, Denny McCarthy, and separated his shoulder during a celebration to force a playoff hole.

Dean Burmester wins LIV Miami at Trump Doral.
