Weekend Recap

NHL
All but one series has been decided as the conference championship round starts Wednesday. On Friday, the Florida Panthers ended the Boston Bruins’ season and the series 4-2. The Dallas Stars needed 2 overtimes to finally put away the Colorado Avalanche 4-2. The Edmonton Oilers tied the series 3-3 with the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday night to force a Game 7 tonight.

NBA
The two remaining series were decided last night and then there were four. The Indiana Pacers outlast the NY Knicks and take Game 7 in New York to win the series 4-3. The defending champs, Denver Nuggets, get beat by the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 7 last night and the wolves take the series 4-3.

Golf
Xander Schauffele wins The PGA Championship, his first major tournament, lowest score in major championship history and a $3.3 million cash out. Schauffele has finished top ten in twelve majors over his and seemed due for a victory. He was able to close it out with a birdie on 18 to avoid a playoff with Bryson DeChambeau.

Nelly Korda wins at Mizuho Americas Open for her 6th win in last 7 starts. She becomes 1 of 4 LPGA golfers to have 6 wins before June 1.

This week the Charles Schwab Challenge kicks off on Thursday from Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, TX.

Preakness Stakes
Seize the Grey wins the Preakness Stakes and takes the second leg of the Triple Crown from favorite, and Kentucky Derby Winner, Mystik Dan.

MLB
San Diego Padres pitcher, Yu Darvish, completes his 4th straight scoreless outing. One of only two pitchers to ever do that since 1901.
