Here are some of the top highlights from the past weekend at the 2024 Paris Olympics:

Scottie Scheffler tied a course record with a final-round 62 at Le Golf National, clinching the gold medal. This made him the first No. 1-ranked golfer to win Olympic gold, narrowly defeating Tommy Fleetwood.

Katie Ledecky won her ninth Olympic gold by claiming victory in the women's 800m freestyle. She became the first woman to win the same Olympic event four times, joining Michael Phelps in this elite group. The U.S. also set a world record in the mixed 4x100m medley relay.

U.S. Women's Soccer Team advances as Trinity Rodman scored a stunning goal in extra time, lifting the U.S. women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Japan in the quarterfinals. The win continues their unbeaten run in the tournament.

Vincent Hancock won his fourth gold medal in men's skeet, with fellow American Conner Prince taking silver. This marked the first time since 1976 that the U.S. swept gold and silver in an Olympic shooting event.

The U.S. men's gymnastics team won their first Olympic medal in 16 years, with Stephen Nedoroscik contributing significantly in the pommel horse event.

Simone Biles had a spectacular showing, winning multiple medals. She secured gold in the women's gymnastics all-around final, team final, and vault final.
